At Precision K-9, we only offer two programs. Why? Because they’re the only ones we trust to bring your dog to incredible obedience! Both come with daily updates, so you’ll be connected with your dog’s progress every step of the way.
4-Week Off-Leash Obedience Program
Imagine four weeks from now—your dog calm, walking off-leash, and responsive to every command. This foundational program builds complete obedience step-by-step, beginning with trust-building and progressing to full off-leash control. By the end, they’ll heel at your side, come when called, get complemented as the “best dog in the neighborhood,” and be ready for any adventure you get a wild hair to take them on.
6- to 8-Week Behavior Modification Program
For dogs whose idea of socializing includes growling and barking at every guest, human or canine. This program builds calm and confidence in dogs with aggression or reactivity. We’ve created a secure, focused environment where your dog can learn to respond to difficult experiences without fear or frustration. By the end, they’ll be comfortable and calm with humans, dogs, and the world around them! If your dog is anxious, nervous, reactive, or aggressive, don’t do anything drastic! Call us first. There’s hope for them to be the dog you’ve always hoped that they would be!

We built our solution around the idea that one-on-one training in real-life situations is the best way to get your dog to incredible obedience. Instead of spending weeks practicing in a training facility, they’ll never see again, your dog spends almost every waking moment in real-world training in-home with one of our experienced trainers.
From walking calmly by our side to waiting patiently while we prepare a meal, to watching us work with one of their two training mates, your dog’s training isn’t limited to sessions. It’s woven into every experience, mirroring life in your home.
By the end of training, their obedience will be second nature, ready to go home as your perfect companion anywhere you want to take them!
A Real Precision K-9 Transformation
Meet Max, a German Shepherd who came to us with a history of reactivity and aggression. His owner was at his leash’s end, avoiding walks, social situations, and even having guests over.
Max’s owner knew training was the answer, but he didn’t feel comfortable leaving Max at a traditional board and train without communication. He wanted the best care and regular updates in one package.
Through our immersive program, Max learned to trust, stay calm, and respond confidently to any situation. By the end, Max was walking off-leash, calmly meeting other dogs and people, and welcoming visitors without fear or aggression. How often will I get updates about my dog?
We understand leaving your dog for weeks can be nerve-wracking! That’s why we provide daily updates, including photos, videos, and text messages, so you can follow every step of their training.
What if my dog has aggression issues?
If your dog is aggressive, we’re pretty much the best option. Dog aggression needs careful, dedicated training, and our one-on-one program provides the focus they need to succeed. Your dog will experience real-life situations and triggers in a calm, controlled setting, building confidence to overcome aggression and reactivity. No matter what their triggers are, they’ll come home calmer, more confident, and ready to be sociable with humans, dogs, cars, goats, boats (true story…), or whatever their triggers used to be!
Will my dog ever be alone?
Only when we let them out to go clubbing at night. Just kidding 🙂 At Precision K-9, they’re with us all day, practicing commands and observing real-life tasks. They’re only kenneled briefly or at night, and there’s always a trainer on-site with them. You can rest easy knowing they’re in good hands from dawn to dusk to dawn again.
What is the boarding environment like?
Our home-based environment treats your dog like family (because they pretty much are when they come to train with us). What that means is that they’re fully involved in daily routines, so training reflects real life. From doing zoomies in the backyard to keeping us company while we make dinner, they’ll be hard-pressed to tell the difference from when training ends to when real life begins!
Can I visit during the training?
We know it’s hard to stay away! However, when a dog is being trained, it’s crucial that separation from their past life (and habits!) be maintained in order to break old patterns. For this reason (and for the privacy of our trainers) we don’t allow in-person visits. However, our daily updates keep you connected. You’ll fully feel like part of their journey and experience the entire time they stay with us!
Is training available for puppies and older dogs?
Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Probably the same people who say you can’t teach a puppy off-leash obedience! Unlike those naysayers, we work with dogs of all ages, tailoring their training to bring out the best in each so you can enjoy every stage of life together. Whether your dog is in the teething phase or goes for a 50 yard walk and then sleeps the rest of the day away, they’ll be the best version of themselves when they come home from their stay with us!
