4 Custom Training Plans That Got Results
Demo
Demo came to us thinking the grass was always more sniff-worthy outside the fence. Demo had a bad habit of jumping boundaries. On getting to know him, we saw that he wasn’t finding pleasure in the here and now. We created a custom training plan focusing on socialization and boundaries. Demo is now a happy pup who has stopped jumping fences and gets his kicks playing with other dogs!
Pepper
Pepper was a foster dog who needed training because her foster parents were considering adopting her. Peppers behaviors were concerning. Pepper left bruises on her foster parents’ arms from biting. She also destroyed their house.
Pepper trained obedience at the facility twice a week. Once Pepper learned her obedience and that she couldnt bite, she fitting in more with her foster parents. Pepper was then adopted then returned for a board and train.
Cornbread
Cornbread came to us from another facility that was not meeting her needs. While at the other facility, she learned that it was okay to be reactive as well as she lack confidence and was fearful of some dogs and humans. Cornbread didn’t know how to exist without going crazy. Deep down, she was extremely fearful of the world.
Two days into her Board and Train we realized that we had to change her whole plan and we did. Since then, Cornbread has come a long way. She is currently in our daycare, going out in public, and is no longer afraid of life. She is also much better at home because she respects her family’s boundaries.
Alice
Alice was confrontational to dogs and reactive to humans. On getting to know her, we discovered that what she needed was boundaries and exercise. We created a custom plan that focused on giving Alice what she needed. Today, Alice is happier, less pushy and less afraid.

Our Teddy absolutely loves going here. As soon as we pull up, he’s very vocal that he is ready to go in and see his friends. We have also used their boarding. All around, great experience. Highly recommend. Staff is amazing as well.

The owner of this establishment and its employees are the best in the business. I have a very special boy name Winston. I would only let the best of the best watch him. The price is a great place is beautiful, clean as a whistle top-notch, and the employees are the best of the best.

My 3 year old Mini Schnauzer understands basic commands, but has/had issues with strangers; in particular men, when they walk towards me, in our neighborhood for a walk, or in the local pet store. And my dog, she was a BARKER! Oh my!
With the help of Zarina, at Paws in Play, the barking is so much better! I am now able to bring my dog with me to pick up the kids at school – and she couldn’t before because there was too much activity for her and the barking was so out of control!
And now, my dog, seems so much more at ease, with the different interactions with people, from the various training techniques that Zarina has put in place.
The willingness to have my dog succeed is so important to ME – but also to Zarina, at Paws in Play, is so heartwarming! Zarina constantly comes up with new ways to challenge my dog, in a positive way, to make her the BEST version of herself!
If you are looking for someone to teach Puppy 101, or to help re-train with aggression, or barking, or anything else that is stressing your family out and you need help to make your family LOVE your dog again – call Zarina at Paws in Play – she is so wonderful!

I’ve been a Paws n Play customer for nearly a year now, and I can’t say enough good things about them. My dog Blue started coming here when he was around 5-6 months old, and he’s turning 2 in January. The impact Paws n Play has had on Blue’s development has been nothing short of remarkable.
As a first-time dog owner, I’ve really appreciated the kindness and support of the employees at Paws n Play. They’ve not only been great with Blue but have also provided my family and me with invaluable tips and lessons on how to continue his progress at home. The knowledge and guidance they’ve shared have been a game-changer!!
Paws n Play offers a fantastic range of services, from field trips and enrichment walks to specialized training and more. Having these options has made it an outstanding daycare facility.
One thing that truly sets Paws n Play apart is their willingness to work with all breeds, including Pitbulls like Blue. They gave him a chance to prove himself, and he’s built strong relationships with the staff and his furry friends. When I ask him if he’s ready to see Zarina, Lauren, or Lucas (his favorite dog pal), he tilts his head with excitement. That’s how much he loves coming here.
I’ve seen Blue grow and become a more confident and well-behaved dog thanks to the care and opportunities provided by Paws n Play. It’s evident in how much calmer and less anxious he is at home and when we’re out and about.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Zarina, Lauren, Max, and all the wonderful staff members whose names escape me at the moment. Every employee I’ve interacted with has been exceptional, and my family, Blue, and I truly appreciate everything you’ve done. Your patience and wise advice have made a significant difference.
I’d also like to recommend signing your dog up for personal training lessons with one of the employees, especially if you’re a first-time dog owner like myself. Blue goes on field trips, and we’re also doing personal training with Zarina, whom he absolutely adores.
Thank you, Paws n Play, for being such an important part of Blue’s life and our journey as dog parents. We couldn’t be happier with the care and support you provide. Like I really love yall fr. We appreciate you guys very much. Thanks again for everything.

Nellie has the BEST time when she comes to daycare at Paws in Play, especially when we’ve included a training session. Zarina is the greatest – she is quickly able to access Nellie’s behavior, areas of improvement, and all that she needs to succeed. I would trust any place Zarina works, and it speaks volumes that she’s been able to help the training program thrive at Paws in Play!

F.A.Q.s
What do I bring for my dog?
You need to bring:
- Food: Please bring enough food for the duration of your dog’s stay, whether that’s a day or several weeks.
- Medications: If your dog has any medications, please bring and label them so we know exactly how much to give and how often.
- Money: As much as we’d love to work for free, kibble ain’t cheap in this economy. Please bring full payment for our services when you drop off your dog.
- Your Dog: Not someone else’s, only yours.
We supply the rest!
Do you train dogs for agility or other sports?
Agility and dog sports are a wonderful way to bond with and exercise your dog! Unfortunately, our sports training equipment is limited, so we don’t feel confident offering this service yet.
We are building out our agility service, so check back soon!
Do you only handle reactive or aggressive dogs?
We’re the trainers that will train reactive or aggressive dogs that other trainers failed or refused to train.
However, that’s not all we do. Make no mistake, we love training happy puppies whose worst nibbles and growls are when they play! We train all sorts of dogs, reactive or not, and we’re actually better at training non-reactive dogs because we’ve practiced reactive dog training so specifically.
Whether you’ve got a human-aggressive chihuahua or a pit bull that needs just a little help not peeing on the furniture (or anything that’s in between) we can help you transform them into a confident, calm, and enjoyable members of your family!
What training tools and techniques do you use?
Every dog is different, and the tools that we use will be dependent on the temperament of your dog in particular. Some dogs are going to respond well to treats, others couldn’t care less what you have in your hand when there’s a squirrel running past. Some dogs will respond well to an e-collar, but some will have too sensitive of a temperament for that.
Moreover, then there’s your comfort level to consider too! Don’t feel comfortable with e-collars? We’re never going to force you to use one! When you work with us, we’ll get to know your dog, and then we’ll decide what you feel comfortable using and what’s best for their training.
Then – and here’s the most important part – we’ll train you to use those tools ethically and professionally. We make sure your dog is trained on the appropriate levels for ecollars, levels 1-15. No owner goes home without an in depth session with our trainer on how to use the tools we train!
When you work with us, we’ll teach you how to use the tools that are the best for your dog in a way that you feel great about.
