Puppy Boarding School

For puppies 12 – 20 Weeks

While your kids enjoy playing and snuggling with the new puppy, you have to deal with the less cuddly aspects. Who knew that puppies could be so much like little velociraptors? They roam around your home, chew on everything they can get their sharp little teeth into (including you!), shriek for hours when you try to put them in their kennel, and leave small presents for you to find.

Good news! Our puppy boarding school can turn your little menace into the behaved family dog you always wanted. When they come home, you’ll finally get to enjoy all the cute playfulness of having a puppy, along with the manners of a well-trained dog who pees outside and leaves your hands and furniture alone.

Our Puppy-Boarding School Includes:

✓ Anywhere between three and four weeks of training where we help your puppy become a well-behaved dog for life!

✓ One full year of support via email where we’ll help you and your dog dog go from a well-behaved puppy to a fully-grown and well-trained adult dog!

Tired of Feeling Stressed & Embarrassed by Your Dog?

You brought your dog home with big, exciting plans of adventures you would get to do together. Right now, you can’t do any of it because your dog feels so out of control. You can’t take them out because they lose their mind around other people, dogs, cats, squirrels, and anything that seems to move.

You can’t leave them home alone because they mark and chew on all your furniture. You can’t have guests over because your friends don’t enjoy being jumped up on like a doggy springboard.

You tried the DIY training route with YouTube videos, but all the different advice was confusing and inconsistent, so nothing stuck.

Maybe you tried working with a “positive reinforcement only” trainer, but no amount of treats were able to get your dog’s attention. Now, you’re feeling stuck, frustrated, alone, and you don’t know what to do. It’s awful to think about re-homing your dog, but you’re not sure how much longer you can handle these problems affecting your relationships and quality of life.

Things don’t have to stay this way.

“We almost rehomed him; now he’s well-trained and calm.”

Leaving our Bubba with Jevry for three short weeks was the best thing we could have done! We were considering rehoming him, as he was having a lot of difficulty being introduced to new people. He came home as our same lovable, energetic boy—but well-trained, more calm, less loud or aggressive, and able to walk loose-leash and be in public spaces with strangers and other dogs without being crazy! Thank you! Jevry is an AMAZING dog (and human) trainer. ❤️🐾

Marybeth Bohm

“Our anxious dog can now go anywhere stress-free.”

Our 8-month-old dog, Indy, was very anxious anytime we had people over, and taking him for walks was stressful, as we didn’t know how he would react to others. Sending him to Jevry for three weeks completely changed everything. I’ll admit I was skeptical at first, but he’s like a new dog. With her guidance and training, our family is a lot happier, and Indy is able to go anywhere with us without any stress. Our family highly recommends her program; it is definitely worth it.

Amanda Brousseau

“Helpless owner to life-changing results with my puppy.”

I can’t recommend K9 Command enough! I sent my 6-month-old Border Collie/Aussie puppy for the 3-week Board & Train, and it far exceeded my expectations. My pup was going through adolescence, which included chewing, digging holes, pushing boundaries, and uncontrollable energy. He had extreme crate anxiety and couldn’t be left in a room without doing serious damage. I had attended a puppy training class that covered basic commands but left me feeling helpless and overwhelmed. I was desperate when I reached out to Jevry and decided to take the plunge.

We were paired with Sami, and from the moment we arrived, I knew we were in good hands. She reassured me that they try every tool and technique until something works. She sent daily updates and videos of my pup’s progress and explained what was working and why. After coming home, the difference in him is unbelievable. His behavior has dramatically improved, and he seems much happier. When I told Sami that I didn’t recognize my dog, she said he is the same dog I dropped off, just with better tools of communication.

The training and support we received from K9 Command has been life-changing. My only regret is not working with them sooner! My pup and I have a lifelong road ahead of learning to communicate better, but we now have a solid baseline and framework to build on.

Laura Caudle

“From barking chaos to paddleboarding with a confident dog.”

I called K9 Command because I was having a hard time getting my new “pandemic puppy” (a young pit bull mix) and my old-timer shepherd mix to get along. There was a lot of barking that was giving me a lot of stress. From the first phone conversation I had with Jevry, I knew she could help. She’s calm, knowledgeable, positive, and encouraging. We agreed on six private lessons to get the new dog on the right track.

When we met, Jevry quickly assessed the relationship between the dogs—and between all the humans and the dogs—and showed us how to achieve a better balance. Turns out the old dog was the boss of everyone (even me), but recognizing that made it easy to see how to fix it. The new dog, a recent rescue, was frequently afraid and low in confidence. We started with just a few simple exercises, and after a couple of weeks of lessons and practice, we had 100% more peace and obedience at home.

Then the fun started! We decided we wanted to teach the new dog to swim and ride on a paddleboard. Jevry’s response was, “Well, that’s easy,” and it was. It was also a blast. Our dog—who had been afraid to get wet—now loves to swim, fetch while swimming, and ride a paddleboard around the lake. Jevry helped us build trust with her, and that’s made all the difference. I’d very highly recommend her.

Jen M.

“He’s now a joy to walk and hike with.”

I’m so glad I did my research and came across K9 Command. I did the Boarding & Training for three weeks. She did an excellent job with him. He’s a joy to walk and go hiking with now. He doesn’t pull on the leash and is calm around other dogs. We will be using Raylynn for boarding if we need to. I highly recommend K9 Command.

Bronce Perez Matos

“I couldn’t walk my reactive dog. They gave him back.”

This is THE best dog training facility in the Seattle area. I have a one-year-old Staffy/Chow Chow mix named Dharma. Before I brought him to K9 Command, I couldn’t walk him. He wouldn’t sit still, was reactive on leash, and didn’t know how to relax at home in any capacity. I took my dog to so many training facilities in the area and basically paid for misinformation. K9 Command was the first and only place to set the record straight and give me the tools I actually needed to train and advocate for Dharma. Balanced trainers succeed where other types of trainers fail because they speak dog the way dogs do. If they act appropriately, they get rewarded; act out, and they get consequences. They gave me my dog back.

Alexander Kornbluh

“Our jumping, unmanageable puppy is now a perfect gentleman.”

I signed my one-year-old golden retriever up for the board and train program after realizing I wasn’t as good at training a puppy as I thought. He had undesirable tendencies, such as jumping on EVERYONE, pulling on the leash, zoomies around the apartment, and disregarding commands when distracted. I didn’t want these tendencies to turn into habits, so I asked around and was recommended K9 Command.

Initially, the price tag made me hesitate, but after having my pup back for about three weeks and seeing the results, I am fully convinced it was totally worth it! I am so happy with how well-mannered he is, and it is noticeable to strangers. He is always getting compliments for his good behavior and is just a much more manageable puppy. The “place” command really helps us bring his energy level down and mellow him out. Additionally, he is a perfect gentleman on walks now! It was honestly unbelievable.

My favorite part was the at-home orientation, where Jevry and her husband walked us through what they had been working on with Leo over the past three weeks. They gave us handouts and used specific analogies to help us be more consistent trainers. This has allowed us to continue his training and see real results. So not only did it help Leo, but it taught me how to be a better trainer. It was a wonderful experience, and I am very grateful to Jevry and her team!

Maci McCravy

“Our hyper, whiny GSD mix finally has impulse control.”

Jevry changed our lives! We’d done several kinds of training with Hanx, our German Shepherd Mix (of GSD and all the whiny, hyper dogs on the menu). We’d done positive reinforcement training but learned that while it was kind and gentle, there wasn’t a way to tell Hanx what we didn’t want; we could only reward what we did want. It was an incomplete vocabulary, and food just activated him more! We swung the opposite direction and worked with a local trainer who was a bit more draconian, and we left feeling that while we had tools, there had to be a better way.

Enter K9 Command! Jevry took Hanx for a two-week board and train program customized to what he needed: impulse control. We now have an exceptionally quiet 4.0 version of our beautiful boy. He listens, he stays in place, and he’s so quiet, sometimes we forget he’s there! Jevry took the time to learn about Hanx and customized his training to suit his particular needs. We can now play with Hanx and love him while speaking a language he understands. We’ve gone from being frustrated to being amazed at what Jevry accomplished in two weeks. It’s almost miraculous—except it’s not a miracle, it’s just the results of someone who truly knows what she’s doing.

Case Study: JJ the “Save My Marriage” Pittie

From Fighting Each Other & Their Dog to a Home of Harmony and Peace

.db-slider-arrow-center .et-pb-arrow-next { background: #0a74ff!important; color: #fff!important; } .db-slider-arrow-center .et-pb-arrow-prev { background: #fff!important; color: #222!important; } .db-slider-arrow-center .et-pb-arrow-next:hover, .db-slider-arrow-center .et-pb-arrow-prev:hover { background: #efefef!important; color: #222!important; } .db-slider-arrow-center .et-pb-arrow-next, .db-slider-arrow-center .et-pb-arrow-prev { position: static!important; opacity: 1!important; padding: 18px; display: inline-block; margin-top: 0 !important; } .db-slider-arrow-center .et-pb-slider-arrows { position: relative!important; bottom: 0; right: 0; left: 0; z-index: 20; text-align: center; } .db-slider-arrow-center .et-pb-arrow-prev:before { content: "#"!important; } .db-slider-arrow-center .et-pb-arrow-next:before { content: "$"!important; }

JJ was a black and white Pitbull with insane energy levels. He was just too strong for her owner and her husband. He would jump and drag them around on the leash. His behavior was so bad that the husband and wife had been having issues in their own relationship with how to handle the dog.

We don’t claim to have marriage-saving services, but we certainly helped train JJ to make their lives a lot easier!

We taught this couple to use JJ’s own energy to train him. Instead of fighting him, we taught them how to use his energy to exhaust himself and then redirect his behavior when he got tired. Now, he walks past dogs and people politely. He sleeps in a kennel, and the owners have the tools to correct and communicate with him and set expectations. Even though we’re not marriage counselors, JJ is much more polite, and they told us that having at least one relationship operating smoothly certainly made things easier!

Meet Lead Trainer Jevry

I Know Your Dog Is Just Misunderstood, Not Bad

I’m Jevry, the head trainer at K-9 Command. I started K-9 Command because I believe a great life with your dog is possible, no matter their breed or past. My philosophy is rooted in the belief that most dog behavioral issues are simply a communication problem—not a bad dog problem.

Over the years, I’ve seen countless dogs labeled as “hopeless” or “too much to handle” by their owners. For these dogs, a one-size-fits-all or “positive-only” approach often fails, leaving owners feeling frustrated, embarrassed, and defeated.

I’m here to show you a different way. A balanced approach that gives your dog the clear boundaries and leadership they need to thrive. With our training, you’ll gain the confidence to lead your dog and the freedom and pride that comes with them knowing how to behave in any situation. I’ve had clients tell me our training helped their marriage or that they thought we had cloned their dog because of how well-behaved they became. My goal is to help you and your dog build a happy, peaceful, and joyful life together. Send me a message, and let’s get started today!

F.A.Q.s

How well does the training transfer to others?

We know you’re not going to be the only person interacting with your dog. You need to equip others to handle them, whether it’s your in-laws, a babysitter, or your son going out for a run. Our training is based on a structured system of communication that anyone can learn. You and your family will learn the theory and science behind the training, not just mechanics, so you can communicate with them and help others do the same.

How do I know the training will stick?

This is a great question we hear a lot. Training the dog is easy, our ability to train you is the most important thing for the training to stick. That’s why we focus on education at Seattle K9 Command. We’ll teach you the skills to continue their good behavior. Our education process is more comprehensive than most trainers, and this is the reason for it.

What if it doesn't work for my dog?

We get it, your dog is special, and there’s always the fear that they’re the exception. Maybe past experiences with dog trainers have left you skeptical. We’re sympathetic but also confident we can train any dog in any situation and give you the life you want. Don’t just take our word for it! We’re happy to connect you with a past client with a similar issue. We also offer lifetime support, so if problems arise, we’re here to help you work through them.

Do you do aggression or human bite cases?

We work with any dog, breed, or problem. We’ve worked with dogs that have bitten children and adults. From years of experience, we know issues with reactivity and aggression aren’t that different from basic obedience. It all fundamentally comes down to a miscommunication about how to act in any situation, not a bad dog. We may just need to keep them longer at the board and train, but we’re confident in our ability to get results.

Why should I do a board and train and not another training style?

Every trainer has training styles they like. Some like board and trains, others like in-person training or group classes. We’re not saying other people can’t get results, but we love the board and train model because it’s the fastest and easiest way to get the results you want. We do the initial foundational work, and (here’s the important part) we teach you how to maintain it. Board and trains only work if we equip you with the tools to maintain, and that’s why we focus so much on education. They’re also the best way to get total off-leash obedience quickly, especially for high-drive dogs. In the end, there’s a million ways to skin a cat, a thousand ways to train a dog, but this is the one we think works best.
